Ms. Erickson - Fourth Grade

My name is Samantha Erickson and I have been a teacher for 8 years. This is my fourth year with Central and I have loved every second of them. The kids are awesome and the families are very supportive.  I have two children, my son is 12 and my daughter is 9. I have a thirst for knowledge and strive to always be a better teacher. My goal is to teach my students to have a growth mindset and to always believe that they can do anything... as long as they try and never give up. I believe in positive reinforcement and I know that my students appreciate it when I acknowledge their good behavior, participation and effort in class.

Fourth grade is a big transitional year. The work will get more challenging and there will be times that we will struggle. As long as we use our class word this year and “persevere”, we can do anything. We are learning to follow our Wolf Rights of being respectful, making sure everyone has the opportunity to learn, to be safe and to be heard. The students are working to become a community of learners, building each other up, listening to everyone’s ideas and helping our teammates when they need it.

I believe it takes a village to raise a child and that parents, teachers and children must work together to give that child the support they need. Please don't hesitate to call or email me with any questions and/or concerns. (559)924-7797 (ext. 2202) [email protected]
